After a love affair full of gaslighting comes to an end, Soojin is haunted by the green-lit girl she slept with in a drunken stupor the night before. Her body was glowing; she literally emitted green light. Soojin's friends scold her for losing her mind, but suddenly a UFO appears in the sky of Seoul and starts attacking everyone. Will Soojin be able to find the green girl in the middle of hell? The latest alien-invading sci-fi action-romance blockbuster from Jung Inhyuk, who has created his own genre by mixing minority stories with B-grade humor and clichés.

CW: The film contains blood.

This film is part of the Shorts: Queering the Dreamscape program.

Director’s Statement

I wanted to create a clichéd but exciting romance about unrequited love: Love at first sight, fluttering hearts, courage, making a move on someone, and an UFO invasion of Earth.

Director’s Bio

JUNG Inhyuk (he/him)

Born in 1997, he graduated from Korea Animation High School and studied film directing in college. His short films, in which he mixes the stories of non-mainstream characters with B-grade humor and various filmmaking techniques to create a genre that defies definition, have earned him a passionate fan base. DADDY IN THE REFRIGERATOR, a queer/ghost film that subverts horror clichés, won the Bucheon Fantastic Special Prize at the Mise-en-scene Film Festival, and his 2019 film LOVE ON THE TINDER AGE has been invited to many national and international film festivals, including the Korea Queer Film Festival and the Honolulu Rainbow Film Festival, where it received rave reviews.
